What do we offer ?

What can SKIDZ ( The Banbury Motor Project ) do for your school?

  • We can accommodate and help your more challenging students, who may otherwise be excluded.
  • All of our staff are experienced youth workers or skilled mechanics
  • All students have Individual Learning Records and reviews.
  • Every student completes a Health & Safety workbook before undertaking practical sessions. We also administer a Safe Use of Compressed Air module, both of which are internally certificated.
  • We take students aged from 12 years and group sizes vary up to 8.
  • All Personal Protection Equipment needed is provided by SKIDZ.
  • We can send you a Weekly E-mail of attendance.
  • We primarily teach two courses.

 

1. A.B.C Level 1 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Motor Vehicle Studies.
The ABC Level 1 Award / Certificate / Diploma in Motor Vehicle Studies encourage and enable learners who have an interest in this area of study to acquire knowledge and skills to aid progression to further study or employment.

The aim of the qualification is to offer learners a flexible bank of units that can be tailored into specialised learning packages in areas of interest that deliver an introduction to the motor vehicle industry.

2.  Primary Skills in Motor Vehicle Maintenance
This can be tailor-made to the individual’s needs and capabilities.

It is open to schools, youth clubs, community groups, Adult learning, colleges, statutory agencies and anyone! Increasing numbers are coming to us to gain vocational qualifications through practical learning opportunities.
